Course overview
This two-day course introduces the core principles of HVAC ductwork installation. It is suitable for people who are new to the trade and for those who want a refresher on ductwork systems, safe working practices and installation quality. A mix of tutor-led learning and practical demonstrations helps delegates understand how ductwork is planned, assembled and checked on site. The course builds awareness and confidence; it does not assess or certify occupational competence.

- HVAC systems and the purpose of ductwork
- Common duct types, components and materials
- Reading basic drawings and identifying key information
- Safe working practices, manual handling and work area controls
- Supports, alignment and common installation methods
- Basic jointing and sealing principles
- Introduction to fire dampers and air leakage
- Quality checks and an introduction to DW/144
- Awareness of high-specification project environments
